About the role - 12 months fixed term As the Coles Liquor Health and Safety Advisor NSW, you will work in the Coles Liquor Group, partnering with the NSW State Operations teams to develop and implement the state safety plan leading to improvements in safety performance and culture across almost 300 stores in the state. Reporting to the Coles Liquor Head of Safety, you will be part of the Group Retail and Manufacturing Safety Team. You will work closely with the Coles Liquor National Health and Safety Team, ensuring state plans are aligned to the National Liquor Safety Plans and support the broader delivery of the health, safety and wellbeing strategy across the Liquor team. On a day-to-day basis your focus will be on process and practice in New South Wales. What you'll be doing This role will leverage your exceptional stakeholder and influencing skills to passionately deliver a great safety culture within a multi-site business. You will be a trusted expert, providing safety advice to the state teams including Operations, Supply Chain, Renewal, People & Culture and Loss, to integrate practical safety into decision making and ensure a focus on effective risk reduction. You'll also make an impact through: Implementing safety strategies in partnership with operations and key stakeholders Coaching, mentoring and guiding stakeholders to sustain a proactive safety culture Providing direction, advice and practical support to store and area management teams on safety, injury management and wellbeing related matters Analysing state safety trends and providing insights to drive the achievement of the state safety scorecard across a combination of lead and lag measures Ensuring the identification of emerging risk, developing and monitoring risk registers and ensuring mitigation of identified risks are put into effect Facilitating root cause analysis and incident investigations on all significant incidents Ensuring compliance with State Self Insurance Audit requirements and the close-out of corrective actions Managing State WHS regulatory and union matters About you and your skills We're looking for an experienced passionate Health & Safety Advisor with exposure to a fast-paced dynamic retail environment or a related industry, preferably within a self-insurance environment. You'll also ideally have: Demonstrated experience in a similar advisor/business partner position across a multi-site business A high level of influencing, interpersonal and coaching capability A bachelor's degree or diploma in Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) or a related field of study Experience in self-insurance (desirable) and injury management Technical knowledge of applicable legislation, and good implementation practices in large organisations Ability to operate under pressure and with autonomy making risk-based decisions to drive performance improvement and safety behavioural change Role will require travel to stores and hence you will need access to your own reliable vehicle Applications close on 21/11/2024 at 23:59PM Take your next step into something bigger, apply now.
