Job Description - Health & Safety Advisor (259248) Health & Safety Advisor - 259248 We're changing the way Australia generates its energy, are you ready for a change?  HumeLink West Project Two CIMIC Group companies, UGL and CPB Contractors have been selected by Transgrid to deliver the 130km western section of the HumeLink high voltage electricity transmission project. HumeLink is a new 500kV transmission project which will connect Wagga Wagga, Maragle and Bannaby in regional NSW that will significantly increase the capacity of the electricity network in Australia's eastern states. HumeLink is one of Australia's largest energy infrastructure projects, with about 365kms of proposed new transmission lines and a range of other new and upgraded infrastructure. The HumeLink West scope of works, worth $1.4bn, includes delivery of new 500kV double circuit transmission lines spanning 130kms from Wagga Wagga Substation to a new Substation at Gugaa, the Interface Point with HumeLink East near Gundagai and a new substation at Maragle in the Snowy Mountains for future connection to Snowy 2.0. The Opportunity Our UGL Utilities division is seeking an experienced HSE Advisor for a substation and transmission lines project in Regional NSW. This will be a DIDO/FIFO role on a 3:1 roster. Reporting to the HSE Manager, you will provide advice and support in driving improvements in HSE performance through alignment and delivery of UGL HSE programs, and identification and management of HSE risks within the business. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy workplace and for adherence to company policies and other applicable laws, regulations and standards for the workplace Key responsibilities: • Monitor and interpret relevant HSE legislation, policies and regulations in order to provide direction and advice to projects which meet statutory and corporate objectives and responsibilities.• Where required, assess safety in design requirements and provide input for constructability reviews.• Facilitate risk workshops in order to effectively plan work in accordance with the project schedule.• Ensure that UGL's HSE objectives and goals are set and attained at the project level including tracking KPIs for the Business.• Support the HSE Manager to execute the Project Audit program; including maintaining good documentation records for easy of execution regarding third party audits and maintaining client prequalification status. What are we looking for you to bring to the team: • Diploma level or Tertiary Qualifications (Desirable), or Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety + trade background.• Certificate IV in Training • Minimum 5 years' experience as a HSE Advisor in a high-risk industry (Project Construction Desirable).• Experience working in the capacity of Principal Contractor (Desirable)• ICAM Incident Investigation trained and experience in leading investigations and thorough report writing skills that are well received by Regulators, senior management and client representatives • Working knowledge of ISO450001 or AS 4801• Strong communication skills.
