Our Opportunity Chichester Hub (Christmas Creek & Cloudbreak) Fortescue's Chichester hub is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples.
Roster: 8D6R - FIFO ex Perth Reporting to the Superintendent Health and Safety, you will be responsible for assisting with the improvement, implementation, and planning of the Mine Safety Management System in a dynamic mining environment to ensure safe operations.
Key Responsibilities Promote and assist with the implementation of the Chichester Hub HS strategy through consultation with key stakeholders within operational departments, to achieve the hubs overall business objectives.
Foster strong relationships with our Operational Leaders and Contractor Partners to ensure alignment with Fortescue Health and Safety systems.
Coach and mentor leaders and peers in safety excellence whilst ensuring risk management processes are in place for the monitoring and reduction of health and safety risks.
Provide coaching and advice to operational leaders on implementing Fortescue's Health and Safety management System Participate in and facilitate incident investigations, risk assessments and deliver training on Fortescue safety processes Complete data trending and HS statistical analysis for operational departments Qualifications and Experience A highly motivated, passionate team player.
Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or similar Demonstrated experience in the practical application of Health and Safety in an industrial environment Previous experience in any or all the following industries will be highly regarded - heavy industrial environment / aerodromes / hospitality / food safety.
Safety Auditing qualification (Lead Auditor) and an awareness of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations Demonstrated experience in data analysis, trending & reporting will be highly regarded Advanced level MS Office Software use, Excel and Powerpoint desirable Our Commitment Fortescue celebrates individual strengths and team members are encouraged to bring their whole selves to work.
