Our client, a leader and innovator in their field (data analytics and energy), have created a new position – Health & Safety Advisor, which will report to the HSE Lead (Australia). As a small, close-knit safety team working out of the Sydney office, the Health & Safety Advisor will support the Lead in ensuring all Health and Safety systems are running smoothly and being communicated effectively across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintaining oversight of HSE risk registers and risk assessments
Taking a support role in the tender process for acquisition of new clients
Monthly HSE Reporting
Creating health and safety alerts and communicating to the business
Ensuring compliance with government regulations, legal requirements and ethical standards regarding quality assurance
Provide advice, coaching and mentoring to staff
Create content for health and safety inductions and ensure these are delivered to employees and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with relevant legislative requirements
Communicating and consulting with workers to promote a healthy, safe workplace culture and reporting culture
You will have:
At least 3 years in a role with significant health & safety responsibilities
Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety are desirable
Effective written and oral communication skills, including skills in negotiating, developing, and managing cooperative working relationships
High level of reporting experience, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations, standards, and best practices
Experience in conducting risk assessments and implementing risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate hazards in the workplace
