Warragul, West Gippsland & Latrobe Valley VICCommunity Development (Community Services & Development)Permanent Part Time - up to 60 hours per fortnightWest Gippsland Healthcare Group are seeking someone to join our Health Promotion team. The Health Promotion Officer's major role is to provide a coordinated and focussed organisational effort towards the development of best practice health promotion, as part of our Health Promotion Plan. This position will facilitate and coordinate projects that support good practice population based health promotion and respond to community issues and priorities in the Baw Baw Shire. We have up to 60 hours available.Our preferred candidate will have:Bachelor/Post Graduate of Health Promotion, Public Health, or a current Registered Nurses Certificate with additional qualifications in Community Health Nursing, and Health Promotion.Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.A thorough understanding and respect for confidentiality requirements.Responsible and mature work attitude.A current Driver's License.The following experience/qualifications would be also considered advantageous:Solid understanding of and practice within the health promotion framework, and The Social Model of Health.Skills in the facilitation and evaluation of evidenced based preventative health projects which are relevant to the needs of the community.IMPORTANT:

All staff employed in the healthcare sector are required to be fully (3 doses) vaccinated for COVID-19 and Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies).
