Position description We seek an enthusiastic Technical Officer to join our Prenatal department at Macquarie Park. You will be an essential team member, and your responsibilities will include the following:
Coding of patient specimens in a timely manner Filing and processing of specimens in accordance with strict WHS guidelines Preparation and Maintenance of laboratory machines Recording key information and accurately doing data entry in multiple data bases Carrying out administrative tasks, such as troubleshooting issues, stock take and other laboratory tasks as required. Delivering exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders in a fast paced health environment Ideal candidate We are proud to say we have a learning and supportive environment. We are looking for the following:
Open to working full time rostered hours Monday to Friday between 7:30 am – 21:00 and Saturdays, 7:00 am – 15:00 Prior experience in a specimen reception and medical terminology knowledge is highly desirable Strong computer literacy and attention to detail with good time management skills A hard-working, motivated and reliable individual with a strong work ethic. Thrives in a fast-paced environment and is a team player Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
