Principal Health Equity Officer - Public Health Public Health Unit are looking for Principal Health Equity Officer to join their team. Metro South Public Health Unit's primary role is to enhance the health of the community by preventing disease, illness and injury, promoting health and wellbeing, and managing risk. You will provide expert guidance in a health equity context by applying your high-level knowledge and proven experience in qualitative and quantitative research, digital technologies, systems monitoring and improvement methods and project management; to ensure the communities identified as having priority health needs in MSHHS have equitable access to health services.

About the Role
Develop and implement multi-strategy, multi-sector interventions to increase the capability of Metro South Health to provide equitable, effective and appropriate care to communities with identified health and access issues. Independently apply expert skills in project design and management to deliver innovative solutions to identified health disparities and access issues within a wide-ranging, complex health system environment. Contribute to Metro South Health equity & access initiatives by establishing internal business and improvement systems that enable innovative and flexible responses to the changing environment and result in improved efficiency and consistency of service outcomes. Establish systems to monitor the health of communities in Metro South and identify health disparities in order to provide direction and plan flexible responses to emergent health needs.
