What you'll be doing The Cancer System Enablers team in the Cancer Services and Information Division is responsible for the delivery of web-based resources used by healthcare providers, patients and other health agencies and organisations.
Within this team, the Health Literacy and Cancer Information team provides information on the Institute's website to support people affected by cancer, and on the Canrefer website to support the referral of people with a cancer diagnosis to relevant cancer specialists.
Working within a team environment, use clinical knowledge and understanding of the needs and concerns of people affected by cancer, to develop new resources and review and update current resources.
Liaise with people affected by cancer and health professionals in the co-development of resources and to maintain the accuracy and currency of website content.

Essential requirements Appropriate tertiary qualifications in nursing with experience working in oncology/cancer services or equivalent clinical qualifications and experience.
Demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills related to oncology with clinical experience in oncology/haematology.
Strong understanding of medical terminology and processes within NSW health system.
Strong verbal and written communications skills.
Demonstrated capability for problem solving, decision making, and sound judgement.
If successful for interview candidates must bring original copies of essential qualifications to be sighted by the panel, and one copy to provide to panel.
Pre-screening questions Please outline your experience in providing information to people affected by cancer, and an example of when you have contributed to enhancing the information available for a particular individual or group of patients, carers or their families.
Please provide details of any work you have been involved in related to the development of website, print or other resources for people affected by cancer or for health professionals.
