** Central Allocations Unit – Casual Bank IN38-IN39 About The Role We are seeking applications from certificate qualified Health Care Workers to join our casual bank.
Shifts are predominantly allocated across our nine Care Communities (Jack Lonsdale Lodge, James Thomas Court, Eureka Village Hostel, Geoffrey Cutter Centre, WB Messer, PS Hobson, Hailey House, Talbot Place and Bill Crawford Lodge) with some opportunities to work in Acute and Sub-Acute.
To maintain your position with the Central Allocations Unit, a commitment of 4 shifts per fortnight is required.
Casual bank is managed by the Central Allocations Unit which operates 7 days a week.
Grampians Health uses an electronic rostering system which matches staff for shifts based on their availabilities via text / phone call.
To be considered for this position, you will have completed one of the below certificates: Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) Certificate III in Aged Care Certificate IV in Ageing Support Certificate IV in Aged Care Please upload a copy of your Certificate and transcript with your application.
If applicants have not completed the Assist Clients With Medication Unit, they will be willing to complete the Grampians Health Medication Administration Skills Check Certificate.

Casual bank shifts can be offered within short time frames, therefore, to be considered for this role you must be living in the Ballarat region.
You will be required to provide 2 referees, one being your current Facility Manager / NUM and the second another manager / supervisor Newly qualified carers can provide a placement manager/course coordinator and a manager from a current/recent employer.
Key Responsibilities Maintaining accurate availability in our electronic rostering system and accepting shifts based on availability Assisting residents to meet their needs as defined by them in a variety of Care Community settings Provide resident-focused and holistic care under the supervision of the Registered & Enrolled Nurses Accurate documentation of resident care and meeting of health service guidelines Ensure a clean and safe environment for residents, visitors and staff Provide resident-focused service in relation to meals/food services Ability to function within a team Participate in annual performance reviews Commitment to ongoing mandatory education Skills & Experience Successful completion of a Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or Certificate IV in Ageing Support Assist Clients With Medication Unit, desirable but not essential Current HLTFSE001 - Follow Basic Food Handling Practices certificate, or willingness to obtain Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain Current Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain Previous experience in a similar role would be preferred but is not essential To see a full copy of the Position Description please click here .
