As the Health Safety & Wellbeing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a proactive risk management and safety culture within our organization. You'll be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health & safety policies and procedures, providing specialist advice, and championing well-being initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:Provide expert advice on Health & Safety, Risk Management, WorkCover, and Wellbeing.Develop, implement, and review Health & Safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legislation.Lead investigations into workplace incidents, near misses, and injuries, identifying causal factors and preventive actions.Manage audits and corrective action plans, collaborating with the Audit and Risk Committee.Develop and promote wellness programs, including mental health initiatives.Oversee Staff Vaccination programs and Workers Compensation Claims management.Coordinate injury management and return-to-work programs, liaising with insurers and implementing strategies.Communicate Health & Safety responsibilities to employees, including contractors.Present insights on Health & Safety performance in leadership forums.Identify and address training and development needs.About YouPrevious experience in Health & Safety and implementing Wellbeing programs (not just physical safety), preferably in a diverse and complex service environment across multi jurisdictions.Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety Management or Risk Management.3 – 5 years' experience at WHS Manager level.Proven leadership experience in a similar role.Thorough understanding of WorkCover and Health & Safety legal requirements and processes.Demonstrable experience implementing a behaviour-based model of safety.Experience in Psychosocial risk.Significant knowledge of safety and related legislation.Apply now and be part of our journey!
