We have an opportunity for an experienced Health and Safety Officer at our client's mine site in Queensland's Central Highlands Region. This full-time opportunity is on a 9 days on, 5 days off roster with Fly-In-Fly-Out from Brisbane or Drive-In-Drive-Out for a local candidate.
In this high-performance environment, you will achieve success by consulting with stakeholders on a regular basis while tenaciously driving performance delivery. As you will be in constant contact with senior executives and external representatives, you will display polished presentation and communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities:Ensuring compliance with the clients and ISS HSEQ policies, procedures and management systems.Discussing, monitoring and assisting staff in the safe delivery of onsite activities.Development and delivery of safety and toolbox meetings.Undertaking and advising on safety audits.Assisting, implementing and monitoring return to work programs.Coaching and mentoring staff on HSEQ processes.Provision of sound technical advice.Identification and facilitation of best practice standards and solutions.Assisting with incident investigations and preparation of safety reports.Assisting the Site Safety Manager with their daily tasks.Providing on-site expertise for all Health and Safety matters.Managing the environmental portfolio covering all legislative and contractual requirements.Our Benefits:All flights to and from site, and all meals and accommodation whilst onsite paid for.Competitive salary and company discounts.Values based positive company culture, with a caring and energetic team.Purposeful and rewarding work with a competitive salary.Access to staff discounts with a wide range of companies.Ongoing learning and development opportunities.Internal opportunities within our global organization.Minimum Criteria:Certificate IV OH&S or higher.Knowledge of safety systems and databases.Demonstrated knowledge of relevant OH&S legislation.Relevant industry experience as a HSE Advisor.Must have Environmental background.Ability to undertake regular travel to site as per FIFO roster.Current Coal Board Medical and Pre-Employment Functional Assessment or willing to obtain.Current Standard 11 Certificate or willing to obtain. #J-18808-Ljbffr
