Health And Safety Coordinator

Under the guidance of the Quarry Manager, the Health and Safety Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the Metro Quarry Sands operations at both Nyora and Lang Lang.
This position involves delivering crucial information, training, and Health & Safety advice to managers, supervisors, and staff on site at both of our operations.
The aim is to ensure that our organisation meets its health and safety objectives and obligations effectively.
This role will be working from both our Nyora and Lang Lang sites.
ResponsibilitiesSupport the development and implementation of our safety management system, leading towards the organisation's overall objectives.Review and update processes and procedures to ensure they continue to be suitable for site.Undertake regular safety works and pit inspections to ensure site compliance with safety objectives.Communicate safety observations and focus areas to staff through toolboxes and noticeboard alerts.Complete ICAM investigations when required.Ensure training records are maintained and up to date for site requirements.Ensure mining contractors are operating in a safe manner, and that their documentation is compliant with Metro Quarry Sands needs.What you will need to succeedRecognised occupational health and safety qualification (minimum diploma level)Training experienceExperience in incident investigation (e.g.
