This is an exciting opportunity for a strong Health and Safety Advisor to join the team. Our Client is a market-leading utilities organisation and this role is based out of a key power generation facility in Loy Yang. They have experienced strong continual growth and success, and have strategically channelled their commitment to delivering on Health, Safety and Environment strategies across the workplace.
In this key role, you would work closely with internal and external stakeholders across Health and Safety strategies and relevant systems and processes. You would support the Health and Safety Manager with operational support as well as other requirements spanning system documentation and auditing.
You will enjoy responsibility for:
Provision of specialist and relevant Health and Safety advice and support to the Loy Yang workplace Support and implement the Health and Safety Policy and procedures to achieve organizational Action Plans Contribute to the development and implementation of business and health and safety initiatives and actions. You will have demonstrated experience with:
Being in a similar Industrial role - Power and Energy experience is a bonus Having promoted and led a positive and engaged safety culture through interactions, behavioural safety programs and assurance activities Reporting, leading KPI's, Health Surveillance program management, Competency and Assurance management, Worker onboarding and similar Using strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence including an ability to relate to people at varying levels The Work Health and Safety (WHS) Legislation, codes and standards and have the ability to interpret and apply to real world situations Tertiary qualified in WHS Management - minimum Certificate (Diploma) IV in Occupational Health & Safety.
