The role Reporting to the Principal Health & Safety Advisor, your role will be responsible for participating in the development, implementation, review and maintenance of the Department of Health's health & safety management strategy, processes and consistent practices.
The successful person You will have demonstrated:
Technical knowledge and skills in the area of health and safety legislation, standards and guidelines including the management of workplace psychosocial hazards to a geographically dispersed organisationDiverse and demonstrated experience in operational health & safety environmentsHighly developed conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage information and provide advice on procedures, strategies and innovative solutions in relation to Health & SafetyDeveloped interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including the ability to effectively consult, advise, and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environmentAbout us The Department of Health is responsible for the overall management of the public health system in Queensland.
