Based in Bundaberg, we are seeking a Safety Officer for an immediate start.About the role:We are seeking the services of a Health & Safety Administrator to provide support to our Management Team and the wider business group promoting workplace health and safety measures, ensuring compliance with current legislation, and implementing solid WHS practices and cultures within the organisation.The key to success in this role is your ability to be organized, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.The ideal candidate will be able to work across our business to provide knowledgeable advice and solutions on all WHS issues while working collaboratively with Production Managers and employees.Responsibilities:Updating and implementing company safety systemsCompleting staff audits and assessmentsCompletion of risk assessments/SWMS for projectsConducting staff inductionsFacilitating tool box meetingsManaging rehabilitation/injuriesWriting and reviewing safe work procedures, safe operating procedures, risk assessments, and other general safety policies and proceduresMaintaining the WHS employee inductions system including staff training where necessaryMaintaining an incident register with incident reports and conducting incident investigationsAssisting with the facilitation of resolution of safety issues with stakeholdersAssessing workplace hazards and risks and identifying appropriate resolutions to be carried outPromoting WHS awareness and a safety culture among employees across all branchesRequirements:Cert 4 in Workplace Health and Safety or relevant industry experience or desire to become qualifiedEnsuring compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2011 (QLD)Knowledge of WHS policies relating to the workplaceWell-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
