About the role We are an energetic, fun and innovative team looking for exciting, creative and service-focused people to join us. As a Health and Fitness Instructor, you will engage and build strong relationships with members, whilst supervising the gym floor.
Our 'Everybody Welcome' philosophy is something that we live and breathe on a daily basis, and we take pride in delivering outstanding service to our members and guests.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work, fulfilling appointments, coordinating, and supporting various programs and events. Our operating hours span from 5:30am to 10:30pm, so it is essential that you are available to work during these times, including weekends and evenings, to provide complete service to our members.
Key responsibilities: Conduct health consultations, re-assessment and program shows to members.
Review, change, and modify exercise programs.
Help provide and run Health club promotion challenges, member engagement and member retention activities.
Efficiently deliver gym programs.
Effectively manage the gym team's adherence to GEL's Service Improvement Program.
Your Strengths
We are looking for motivated and proactive fitness professionals who are passionate and enthusiastic about health and fitness and ready to make a positive impact on the lives of our members.
Requirements: Certificate III in Fitness.
Current First Aid [HLTAID011] and CPR [HLTAID009] Certificates (or willing to obtain).
Experience in delivering health & wellbeing programs.
Knowledge of current exercise prescription and methods.
Applicants must be able to provide evidence of current qualifications and registrations.
