About this part of our organisation: Our Zinc Assets in Australia include multiple geographically dispersed operations, including underground and open pit mines, processing plants, and port facilities. Mount Isa is home to the majority of our assets in Australia and this role is based residentially in Mount Isa.
About your potential new position: As an Advisor/ Return to Work Coordinator your primary purpose will be providing proactive advice and assistance on injury and health matters to operational personnel and be part of the team facilitating return to work programs for employees.
To deliver on that purpose some of your key responsibilities will be: Providing advice and assistance to operational personnel and management on injury, health, and medical matters including the planning and implementation of proactive health strategies.Promoting and facilitating proactive intervention measures to assist in the early return to work of employees on health management plans and workers compensation.Providing comprehensive rehabilitation services with the development and implementation of rehabilitation programs and plans for workplace injuries.To be suitable for this position you will have: Rehabilitation and Return to Work (RTW) Coordinator course- QLD (Preferred)The capability to develop proactive health strategies in the work environment.Prior experience in workplace rehabilitation and injury management.An understanding of medical terminology and associated processes.The ability to liaise and communicate effectively across multiple levels of the business and medical/allied health providers is critical to your success in this role.Good understanding of the Queensland Workers Compensation Legislation.People with Allied Health Degrees, Diploma in Nursing, or industry experience are encouraged to apply. Typically, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Registered Nurses, and Exercise Physiologists do well in this position.
