Anglicare NT is a respected provider of quality human services across urban, regional and remote areas of the Northern Territory. headspace provides early intervention mental health services to 12–25-year-olds. headspace can help young people with mental health, physical health (including sexual health) alcohol and other drug services, and work and study support.

The Family Lived Experience Worker (FLEW) practices from a 'peer' and 'lived experience of caring for someone with mental health' perspective, in a recovery focused and strengths-based way to promote meaningful engagement, challenge stigma, reduce feelings of isolation, spark hope and give families a voiceWhat's in it for you? Salary range $60,000 – $69,999 Five weeks annual leave Part time or casual options available Opportunity for salary packaging Training and development options Relocation assistance and educational grants available for eligible candidates What's the role? Provide individual and group support to the families, carers and friends of young people accessing the headspace Early Psychosis (EP) program Collaborate with Clinicians to best support families in their young person's mental health journey Facilitate the Family Connections Group, alongside the Family Mental Health Clinician (FMHC), as a space for peer support, connection and shared learning Is this the right role for you? A lived experience of supporting a young person who has experienced mental health challenges (preferably psychosis). A certificate IV in Mental health Peer Work/a similar qualification or be willing to work towards obtaining either. Demonstrated understanding of Peer Work/Lived Experience Work within the mental health sector. Willingness to implement recovery-focused and strengths-based approaches in your day-to-day work and model hope, resilience and optimism for young people, carers, their friends and family. Ability to work independently and seek guidance as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) NT PHN/RWA NT may be able to offerrelocation support and clinical educational financial assistance to health professionals who are relocating to the NT or moving within the NT to a greater remoteness area classification for the purposes of employment and further clinical education.
