Head of Music (Curriculum):The Head of Music (Curriculum) is responsible for the leadership and administration of the K-12 Music curriculum, programming, teaching and learning and assessment. The successful applicant will be an accomplished classroom teacher and able to model the highest standards of professional skill and collaborative teaching practice. In the classroom, they will be able to encourage, engage and inspire both staff and students, from beginners through to experts. They will have experience in curriculum differentiation in music education and expertise in creating, implementing and evaluating engaging, contemporary music education programs.Head of Music (Co-Curriculum):The Head of Music (Co-curriculum) is responsible for the vision, policies, program development and implementation of our K-12 Co-Curricular Music Program. As an effective leader of our diverse program, the successful applicant will have demonstrated enthusiasm and extensive experience in creating, managing and co-ordinating broad co-curricular musical opportunities involving choirs, bands and strings. In the overall organisation and management of the program, this role liaises extensively with staff, ensemble directors, peripatetic tutors, parents and students. The full-time load will include a component of teaching, ensembles conducting or individual student lessons, to best suit the skills of the successful successful applicants for both of these roles will be strong educational leaders with outstanding interpersonal skills, high level communication skills and the ability to motivate and lead large and diverse teams. Coupled with excellent organisational and administrative skills, these two roles will jointly manage the Music staff, encouraging innovation, collaboration, personal growth and ongoing learning.
