The College is seeking applications from committed Christians with expertise in Administration for the position of Headmaster's Personal Assistant.
Wollondilly is a co-educational Christian College operated by the Anglican Schools Corporation. It is a Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12 co-educational College located in pleasant rural surroundings at Tahmoor, about 60 minutes from Sydney's CBD. The College strives for educational excellence in a Christian context and includes modern, permanent, air-conditioned buildings. Reports to: Headmaster
Classification: Clerical and Administration Level 4 - Independent Schools NSW (Support and Operational Staff) Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2021
Status: PermanentFull Time - Term time - plus approximately 2 weeks during school holiday periods per year (by negotiation)
Key responsibilities and accountabilities: Support the Headmaster with all Administration needs, for example, correspondence, photocopying, notetaking, scanning etc.Prepare draft documents for the Headmaster and Executive.Liaise with people from all areas of life, for example, parents, students, staff, the Anglican Schools Corporation, members of the public and politicians.Organise appointments, schedule meetings with groups and update calendars.Keep ahead of the calendar alerting the Headmaster to upcoming events.Proofreading of communications to parents/carers, newsletters, perennials, documents.Processing emails from parents, students and other stakeholders.Take and prepare minutes and documentation for the College Council.Look after administration matters for the Chairman of Council and the College Council members.Coordinate the College's student award system and presentation and formal assemblies.Assist the Deputy Headmaster and Executive PA with P&F matters if needed.Handle confidential matters with discretion.College emails to all staff and parents when required.Staff recognition awards and community gifts.Organise staff and special events.Order, purchase and prepare food for College functions.Handle the College mail, pick up and deliver to the Post Office.Prepare and update Critical Incident Documentation.Update Staff lists, evacuation lists, pigeon hole tags and name tags.Organise the Corporate Uniform for staff and liaise with Provider.Assist other Administration staff when required.Duties may vary based on the skillset of the successful applicant. Some duties may change from time to time to balance each team member's workload.Other duties as requested by the HeadmasterPerson Profile: A Christian person who is team oriented, discreet, able to exercise initiative, reliability, patience, empathy, friendliness and is flexible and willing to consider further study if the opportunity presents.
Specific Job Skills: High level of communication skills, written and verbal.Experience in an office environment.Ability to plan, organise, prioritise and problem solve.Ability to work independently and without supervision.Ability to communicate with a broad section of the local community.A high level of attention to detail and confidentiality required.Comfortable with technology including Microsoft Word, Publisher and ExcelA working knowledge of Edumate (an advantage).An understanding of the expectations relating to Child Protection in a school environment.Minimum Qualifications: Certificate III or above in Administration or Management OR matching experience with a willingness to upgrade qualificationsHold a current Working with Children CheckApplications should include a reference or referee details from the Minister of the Church they currently attend.
