Position Information Ryde Secondary College (Years 7-12) has an enrolment of 1465 students, including 70% students from an EAL/D background.
It is a comprehensive high school with an academically selective cohort, an additional class for gifted and talented students, regular mainstream classes in each cohort and a support unit.

Proven expertise in science curriculum and capacity to lead a diverse team through curriculum reform to ensure innovative, evidence-based teaching and learning implementation. Demonstrated skills in gathering, analysing and interpreting school-based and system data to lead initiatives supporting engagement and growth from Stage 4 to Stage 6 in Science. Evidence of highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to lead and mentor staff to implement HPGE and a high-expectations culture in all classrooms. Proven expertise in visible and proactive school leadership, collaborating with the executive to develop and support whole school policies, priorities and initiatives in the Strategic Improvement Plan. General Selection Criteria Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy. Conditions An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement.
