BWSC is a dynamic comprehensive 7-12 College established to provide inclusive educational experiences in learning environments that cater to the unique needs of middle years learners and senior learners.
The middle school campus, located in Umina, has an enrolment of 800 students who are learners in Years 7-9, of which 12% are Aboriginal.
The Umina Campus has eight support classes specialising in IM, Autism, multicategorical and ED.
Our inclusive focus provides high-quality learning programs with key strategies for building skills, knowledge, and understanding in literacy and numeracy, enrichment, creative and performing arts, targeted sports, and leadership.
As well, the large College farm, located on the Umina Campus, provides unique opportunities for all College students in Agriculture and Primary Industries.

Selection Criteria Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position.
In addition to the general selection criteria, demonstrate expert knowledge and the ability to lead and support Science teachers in quality teaching practices and curriculum implementation for a diverse range of learners.
Collaborate effectively with the school executive team to implement whole school priorities and initiatives.
Foster a collaborative faculty culture that develops the capacity of others in focusing on data-informed practice and professional learning for an engaging and safe learning environment.
General Selection Criteria Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning, and classroom practice. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment, and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams. Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff, and parents. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy. Conditions An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement.
