The College has grown dynamically with staff, parents and students working together to promote public education in an area spoilt for choice in terms of educational offerings. We have 175 dedicated teachers consisting of early career, mid–career and experienced teachers, along with support and administrative staff. The student body consists of an enrolment of approximately 1300.We have created a dynamic learning environment that provides a diverse curriculum that allows students to pursue individual pathways. There are a variety of programs and activities open to Aboriginal students including the Clontarf Academy for boys and Sista Connections for girls. In addition to the general selection criteria,Approval to teach and experience teaching an additional language other than English such as Italian or Japanese in a comprehensive secondary campus setting.Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to build capacity of staff and drive improvement in Languages and other faculties.Capacity to work as a collaborative and innovative member of the executive team to implement the school strategic plan.Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a school executive to further the goals of the school and its community.General Selection CriteriaSuccessful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice.Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs.Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams.Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents.Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning.Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy.ConditionsAn unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement.
