Teaching - Early Childhood (Education & Training) Crossways Early Learning Centre is seeking a motivated ELC Head Teacher to join our growing, supportive and compassionate team. Crossways is a Christ-centred, culturally diverse learning community; empowering children to develop attitudes of respect, empathy, and social awareness. The ELC Head Teacher will lead the Early Learning Centre in accordance with Crossways Lutheran School's vision and values of the Lutheran Church. Position This position will provide an excellent opportunity for a confident, passionate, and proactive leader to make their mark on our ELC. You will be responsible for the overall operation of the ELC whilst developing and implementing the curriculum, policies, and procedures. The ELC children must be a priority as you ensure they are always supervised appropriately, and their physical safety and emotional well-being needs are maintained whilst providing a developmentally stimulating environment for all children. Appropriate records for each child must be confidential, well established, and constantly maintained. You will assume responsibility for planning, preparing, and implementing the Crossways ELC program, framed by the National Early Years Framework, Reggio Emilia philosophy, and the National Quality Standards in consultation with other staff. Excellent and accurate communication with parents and guardians, staff, and children, and the wider Crossways community will be vital. You will also oversee and ensure staff awareness of Quality Assurance and School guidelines requirements, and legal liability regarding duty of care. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Early Years Education or recognised equivalent Current Early Years registration with the South Australian Teachers Board Senior First Aid training as prescribed in the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010 Requirements Strong working knowledge and understanding of the developmental needs of children two to five years of age, including children with additional needs, with demonstrated experience in this age group Experience in leading and managing staff Extensive knowledge of Child Protection Safety and its implications for the care and protection of children Wages will be in accordance with your qualifications and experience and the Lutheran Schools SA Enterprise Agreement.
