Head Stockman Wanted: Lead the Charge at Stanbroke! Are you a seasoned stockman with a knack for leadership and a passion for cattle? Stanbroke is seeking an experienced and motivated Head Stockman to oversee operations on our expansive Northern Queensland properties. This is your chance to take on a pivotal role in one of Australia's premier cattle companies.
The Role: As the Head Stockman at Stanbroke, you will lead and manage all aspects of livestock operations across our Northern Queensland properties. This includes coordinating cattle mustering, drafting, and handling, overseeing animal welfare, and maintaining property infrastructure. You'll mentor and supervise station staff, work closely with the Station Manager on strategic plans, and ensure compliance with safety standards. This role offers a unique opportunity to showcase your leadership skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while living in the heart of the Australian outback.
Your Key Responsibilities: Lead and coordinate daily livestock operations, including mustering, drafting, and handling cattle.Oversee the health, welfare, and productivity of livestock, ensuring optimal performance.Train, mentor, and supervise station staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team.Manage property maintenance, including fencing, water systems, and infrastructure.Operate and maintain station vehicles, machinery, and equipment.About You: You have experience in livestock management and station operations.You have excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.You have strong communication and organisational abilities.You have practical skills and mechanical aptitude for equipment operation and maintenance.You are proactive, reliable, and committed to excellence in all aspects of station life.You are passionate about safety and creating a positive workplace culture.Why Join Us?
