About the role Join the passionate team at the award-winning Glen Albyn Estate as our new production Head Chef.
This is a full-time role based in Hobart, Tasmania, where you will lead our skilled kitchen brigade and be responsible for the overall culinary direction of our acclaimed restaurant.
As Head Chef, you will play a pivotal role in delivering an exceptional dining experience that showcases the best of Tasmania's local produce.

What you'll be doing
Oversee all kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff management Develop and implement innovative seasonal menus that highlight the distinct flavours of Tasmania Ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service Manage and mentor a team of skilled chefs and kitchen staff Collaborate with the food and beverage team to create seamless dining experiences Maintain a safe and efficient kitchen environment Monitor food costs and inventory to optimise profitability What we're looking for
Extensive experience as a Head Chef or in a similar senior culinary role, preferably with experience in food production in events, catering and multiple outlets.
Exceptional culinary skills and a deep understanding of modern, seasonal and local cuisine Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a proven track record of developing and inspiring kitchen staff Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure A passion for using local, sustainable ingredients and a commitment to showcasing the best of Tasmanian produce Formal culinary training or qualifications If you are an experienced and passionate Head Chef who is excited to join our team, we encourage you to apply now.
