Job Description How will I help?
The Head of Workplace and Facilities Management is responsible for leading the workplace operations of the Group's corporate and retail property portfolio, ensuring all facilities are maintained to the highest standards and the occupancy needs of the Westpac business are seamlessly met. Property operations services are delivered through a mix of internal and external service provider resources.
Responsible for approximately 700 properties and in excess of 500,000 square meters, you would manage the day-to-day operations of the Group's property portfolio, including facilities and workplace services and Westpac's property and security incident response centre. You'll be required to manage successful relationships with external service providers and vendors, ensuring services are delivered to the agreed standards. Reporting to the Chief Property & Security Officer, you will lead and develop the property operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. The property operations team is comprised of retail and corporate facilities managers, workplace managers, and property and security incident response specialists accountable for ensuring the maintenance and occupancy needs of all Westpac corporate and retail premises. You'll oversee the development and execution of the annual budget for property operations and monitor and control expenses. You will also implement corporate and retail property sustainability initiatives, monitor performance, and ensure accuracy of reporting.
What do I need?
You will have substantial experience (over 10 years) leading Operations, Facilities Management, and Workplace Experience at a progressive corporate. You hold a tertiary qualification in engineering, project management, business administration, property/real estate, or a related discipline. With exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, you will hold demonstrable experience in the development and delivery of a Group Corporate Workplace strategy. You will have exceptional stakeholder management skills and experience delivering facilities management and/or workplace services within large multifaceted organisations, knowing how to navigate complex environments. You're passionate about thought leadership in the Future of Workplace and are comfortable producing and presenting recommendations to Executives. With a track record of building trusted relationships internally and externally, you're a high-energy, ambitious individual with exceptional people leadership skills who thrives in providing commercially driven innovative thinking.
