· Ongoing · Full-time · Sydney CBD - The Domain · Clerk Grade 11/12 · Total Remuneration Package up to $182,661 · Salary range ($139,787 to $161,663) Established in 1871, the Art Gallery of New South Wales is located in Sydney's The Domain adjacent to the Royal Botanic Garden and near the Central Business District, acknowledging the original custodians of this land – the Gadigal people of the Eora nation. The Gallery attracts around 2 million visitors annually and runs Australia's largest education program with over 90,000 student and teacher visits per year. With our expanded campus, the Gallery has a new state-of-the-art building located next to our existing and much-loved building, providing close to double the exhibition space. This enables us to share more art with more people and provide more family, learning, and educational programming for all our audiences. About the Role Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of venue hire, events, tours, and food and beverage services of the Art Gallery. Develop and implement strategies to grow current and new commercial revenue streams, as well as manage internal and external relationships with Art Gallery stakeholders and clients in line with the Art Gallery's strategic objectives. This role also ensures curatorial standards and services relating to venue operations are maintained and services complement the Art Gallery's standing as an arts institution. The role manages the Art Gallery of NSW liquor license as well as acting as the licensee. What technical / soft skills you require Appropriate tertiary qualification or relevant, equivalent professional experience in the field of expertise most relevant for the role. Substantial experience in event coordination and venue management of a large cultural or similar institution. Well-developed leadership skills to lead, coach, and support a team. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively. RSA certificate. Ability to work evenings, early mornings, and weekends as required. Ability to be appointed liquor licensee of an organisation.
