Role – Head of Technology (Technology Domain Owner) - RAMS

Permanent Full-time opportunity
Location: Barangaroo, Sydney
Hybrid working model (2-3 days in a week in the office + WFH)

We're hiring a Head of Technology for RAMS . As the Technology Domain Owner RAMS, you'll lead end-to-end service management, change delivery, tech risk management and tech financials for the RAMS business. You'll collaborate with senior stakeholders across Mortgages LOB and Group Tech to drive and implement our technology strategy, setting a clear vision and effectively communicating it to key stakeholders and the rest of the business.
Key accountabilities include:

Business Engagement:

Partner with the RAMS Business and RAMS Managing Director to develop and deliver priorities, while maintaining system stability.
Contribute to business strategy and develop a technology service roadmap to enhance customer experience and achieve business objectives.
Work with RAMS business to ensure compliance to technology policies.



Strategy and Planning:

Partner with the senior stakeholders across Mortgages LOB and Group Tech to drive and implement the Technology strategy.
Setting a clear vision and strategy, communicate 'the story' well to key stakeholders and the rest of the village.
Ensure that architectural principles and roadmap for RAMS are maintained through all planning and change activities.



Risk Management:

Actively manage the technology risk profile, ensuring activities stay within risk appetite and resolving issues, risks, and incidents.
Identify technology service risks, document them in business risk maps, and develop cost-effective mitigation solutions to support informed risk management decisions and maintain acceptable residual risk levels.
Work with Risk to implement best practice risk management.
Work with ISG to ensure a technology ecosystem that meets WBG security policies and regulatory requirements.



Service Management:

Partner with Suppliers to ensure systems stability, proactive lifecycle management and transparent reporting for technology in the RAMS ecosystem.
Work with Service Management and suppliers to ensure technology stability and proactive lifecycle management.
Drive continuous improvement with change delivery and Service Management teams.
Ensure IT services comply with disclosure documentation, contracts, and Westpac policies.



Execution & Change Delivery:

Structure, plan and execute major project activities, ensuring efficient and quality execution, on-budget/schedule delivery and full realisation of expected benefits.
Support the Head of Technology, Mortgages to actively manage demand to ensure it's appropriately prioritised, funded, resourced and aligned with the LOB and GroupTech strategy.
Taking accountability for service/product decisions in the fast-paced environment.
Managing cross-squad and village dependencies, with a focus on driving collaboration.
Support the village with operating model principles including QBR, OKR and strategic priorities.
Serve as an escalation point for Technology Service Owners (squad leads).
Actively manage supplier/3rd party partners and vendors – own supplier relationships, lead governance forums, ensure suppliers work to agreed contract and SLAs, negotiate contracts working with Strategic Sourcing.



People and Leadership:

Build a highly engaged workforce by modelling Westpac's leadership standards.
Develop strategic workforce plans and enhance village capability with the Head of Technology.
Demonstrate behaviors aligned with Westpac's corporate values.
Promote Westpac's risk culture through visible presence and business engagement.
