This role is pivotal in enhancing service delivery and driving operational efficiency within the company.This position will act as the 2IC to the CIO, overseeing the organisations Strategy & Enterprise Architecture, PMO, ITSM & Operations, Platform & Applications and Vendor management.Key Responsibilities:Enterprise IT Service Delivery: Drive the organisations shared technology capabilities:Strategy & Enterprise Architecture,PMO & Portfolio management,ITSM & Operations managementPlatform and Application ManagementVendor management.Team Leadership: Lead a diverse, multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability. Define and track KPIs to ensure performance excellence.Continuous Improvement: Cultivate a culture of service enhancement by identifying and eliminating waste, focusing on stakeholder satisfaction.Performance Insights: Establish and maintain service levels and performance objectives, analysing data to inform decision-making and identify service optimization opportunities.Legacy Systems: Oversee the management of legacy infrastructure and lead the transition from legacy technologies, ensuring minimal disruption to services.Commercial Oversight: Manage budget planning, strategic sourcing, and supplier governance while maintaining a contracts register to ensure compliance and guide contract renewals or negotiations.Service Desk Optimization: Improve service desk operations and request fulfillment processes to align with business service expectations, enhancing efficiency and responsiveness.Cost Optimization: Proactively manage cloud services for cost-effective resource consumption.Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with executive sponsors and key stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives and meet business objectives.Required Skills & Knowledge:Prior experience Proven leadership experience in managing and integrating diverse teams.Strong talent development and mentoring capabilities.Exceptional planning, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills.Knowledge of Agile, Lean, or similar methodologies.Experience in supplier management and high-value contract negotiations.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Solid commercial acumen and risk management skills.Experience in large corporate environments or managed service providers.Qualifications & Experience:Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.A minimum of 10 years of experience in management of shared services (Architecture, PMO, ITSM & Operations, Vendor management), preferably within a large corporate environment.Relevant training or certifications in the capability domains managed by the role.Demonstrated experience in transformational change and governance frameworks.Experience in the financial services industry is preferred.Why Consider This Opportunity?Our client is committed to creating an inclusive and diverse workplace, where every employee is valued and supported.
