Community charities are championed by TEAM LEWIS' employees, who volunteer their time and skills to provide marketing and comms support to maximise the grants' effectiveness.
Purpose of the role The Head of Technology, Australia is a senior strategic position providing leadership to key technology brands within the TEAM LEWIS account servicing structure. This person plays a core role in the senior management team, continually delivering a profitable, creative and forward-thinking client service. The Head of Technology, Australia plays a critical role in the ongoing management, relationship build and client service of key technology brands. In addition, they are responsible for developing client relationships locally and regionally by identifying and selling additional services, directly impacting revenues and income.
Main responsibilities Responsible for setting the strategic direction of TEAM LEWIS AU's technology practiceClient Management Works as a senior leader, ensuring account profitability and optimising revenues for the businessDemonstrably grows client revenues, in line with the profitability of accounts and projectsDrives a proactive approach to upselling services/projects and increasing retainer budgetsDirects and manages strategic relationships with the client, providing insight and counsel across all aspects of the marketing and communications spectrumTakes responsibility for ensuring excellent client communication at all levels; defining KPIs, deadlines and service agreementsDelivers an added-value consultancy and works closely with clients to direct campaigns and introduce services and products across traditional and emerging communications channelsNew Business Leads the new business process in collaboration with the Managing Director and senior team, making key decisions and playing a crucial role in selling TEAM LEWIS credentials throughout the tender processLeads credentials and pitches for technology-centric clients, developing the strategic insight, messaging and creative conceptsGenerates, identifies and nurtures new business prospects and maximises opportunities for new clients from within extended networkResponsible for programme pricing and proposals, ensuring fast turnaround of proposals to clients and prospectsResponsible for P&Ls ensuring revenue growth, proper tracking and capturing of projects and retainers and maintaining acceptable profit marginsWorks with the regional/office leaders to identify target businesses within the technology and corporate sectors and utilises on and offline networks to establish connections with key decision makers and budget holdersContent Oversees the creation of high quality and engaging content, providing knowledgeable quality control and guidance to the local office and regionallyWorks with the client to develop and implement an impactful content strategy, delegating responsibilities to direct and wider team members where possibleWorks with content specialists (where possible) to improve own and others knowledge of content trends, driving a commitment to excellent story-tellingTeam Working and Development Takes overall leadership responsibility for their team, including coaching, supervision, assessment and reviews of all team membersHelps build a high calibre, talented and motivated team – nurturing and preserving the TEAM LEWIS cultureSets strategic team objectives on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basisDefines deliverable client objectives and sets standards of excellence for all client activity, driving commitment from all levels of the teamActs as a respected line manager, working closely with line reports to maximise strengths, improve weaknesses and support career developmentWorks with the People team to recruit high calibre candidates into the team and develop and initiate hiring strategy in line with projected organisational requirementsWorks with the People team to reward, retain and develop the team and resolve any performance issues, offering suggestions and improvements for the benefit of the wider local teamGeneral Runs and supports training sessions, with a view to maximising opportunities to expand team skills and grow revenuesTakes a proactive role in promoting the TEAM LEWIS brand, its identity, values and workSupports the People team by promoting, both internally and externally, opportunities at TEAM LEWIS across social media and via the referral schemeWorks with the People team to create succession plans and career pathsMaintains a detailed and up-to-date knowledge of industry (competitors' and clients') activitiesIdentifies training required and runs, support training sessions, with a view to maximizing opportunities to expand team skills and grow revenuesOverall, acts as a guardian of best practiceAbout you Highly commercial, with strong strategic client consultancy skillsCreative thinking "outside the box" to providing solutions and solving problemsRelevant experience of working in a B2B, corporate, communications agency environment at a Director or Head of levelProven experience of multi-tasking administrative projects through to completionWell-versed in social media and the integration of digital marketing into the wider communications landscapeAble to provide consultancy on comms requirements as well as broader marketing strategyA track record of retention and the profitable growth of existing accountsDemonstrable success at securing new business and increasing client revenuesConsidered, assertive, good-humoured and influential;
