Description Join us on our journey....... We are looking for a Head of Technical to join our team – Monday - Friday office based 08:30 – 17:00 This is a new role created to Support our Technical Director. As Head of Technical you will be supporting and leading the technical function of the business through the development of new products, maintenance of exceptional quality standards and adherence to industry regulations. Over seeing internal and external training operations to ensure that we remain a partner of choice across our target markets. At Instarmac we pride ourselves on our open communication. Duties Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities ·Effective leadership across all technical disciplines, including but not limited to, Research & Development, New Product Introduction, Technical Literature & Packaging, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Compliance, Training and Site Services. ·Coach, support and mentor a high performing team ensuring there is a shared vision within individual departments and across the entirety of the technical function. ·Delegate appropriately and promote cross functional partnerships. ·Stay abreast of technical and regulatory advancements within the sector allowing for opportunities for improvement and innovation to be identified and capitalised upon. ·Manage major projects and schemes with diligence and empathy while ensuring agreed timescales, deadlines and budget requirements are met. ·Monitor the progress of key technical projects and inset self when required. ·Assess, review and optimise existing processes to ensure that they are fit for purpose and drive the indented outcomes. ·Implement appropriate process improvement schemes working closely with the Technical Director. ·Frequently review and appraise existing Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance protocols to ensure they are up to date with changes in industry standards and legislation. ·Implement best practices across the technical division. ·Adhere to safety management systems and protocols at all times while continuously promoting this throughout the technical function. ·Assist in the recruitment of high performing individuals who align with the culture and values of the business. ·Coach, develop and retain key personnel across the technical function. ·Maintain a best-in-class approach to customer service ensuring that technical queries and enquiries are responded to with professionalism, urgency and accuracy. Requirements What you will need: Process efficiency across the technical function. Experience working in regulatory compliance Extensive experience in a senior role, with the ability to work at an operational and strategic level Extensive formulation experience Excellent communication and analytical skills. Comfortable writing report & specifications. Manage efficiently the planning & scheduling of work. Experience of and the ability to guide, coach, motivate and influence effectively at a senior level and to build positive relationships. IT Skills, specifically use of MS Office, bespoke Systems and reporting. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you!
