Head Of Teaching & Learning

The Company is seeking a Head of Teaching and Learning to join their Executive Team. This pivotal role is dedicated to leading the teaching and learning team, developing and implementing a 4-5 year teaching and learning strategy that aligns with the organization's vision and cultural values. The successful candidate will work closely with the Executive Team on the strategic direction of the organization, particularly in the areas of growth and expansion. A key focus of the role is on curriculum development, including the integration of Indigenous knowings, and ensuring a high-quality, inclusive training experience for students. The Head of Teaching and Learning will also be responsible for managing the teaching and learning budget, providing expert advice on creative, cultural, and curriculum development, and maintaining high standards in compliance and regulatory requirements.Applicants for the Head of Teaching and Learning position at the company must have a degree qualification in education, teaching and learning, or a related field, and extensive experience in post-graduate education with a strong understanding of curriculum, education frameworks, compliance, and the VET sector. The role requires a deep understanding of the contemporary issues facing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with these communities. A current NSW driver's license, a National Police Check, a NSW Working with Children Check, and the ability to act as a Fit and Proper Person in line with ASQA requirements are mandatory. Experience in or a passion for the performing arts is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a commitment to teamwork, and the ability to manage a team and meet deadlines.
