About the Role:
As the Head of Supply Chain, you will oversee global supply chain operations for both underground and open pit mining across Africa, North America, and Australia. This role includes managing procurement, inventory, supplier relationships, logistics, and distribution to ensure efficient, cost-effective operations. Leading teams across continents, you'll ensure timely material flow, manage risks, and build strong supplier partnerships, all in line with the company's safety, productivity, and sustainability goals.

Position objectives and responsibilities:
Strategic Supply Chain Planning: Develop and implement strategies to optimise inventory levels and ensure seamless supply flow, supporting operational goals. Procurement Management: Oversee procurement of equipment and services, negotiating contracts to secure the best terms while ensuring compliance with regulations. Supplier and Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, managing performance and onboarding new suppliers to diversify and mitigate risks. Logistics and Distribution: Ensure efficient transportation, warehousing, and inventory control, meeting the needs of remote and underground sites. Risk Management: Implement strategies to mitigate supply chain disruptions, including alternative sourcing and monitoring trends that impact operations. Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing supply chain team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and adherence to safety standards. Cost Control and Budgeting: Manage budgets effectively, track performance metrics, and drive cost-efficiency improvements across supply chain activities.
Skills, Experience and Attributes:
Extensive experience in global procurement, logistics, and general supply chain planning and implementation Proven track record of driving continuous improvement. Demonstrated leadership in managing teams with successful outcomes aligned to position objectives and responsibilities Prior experience in contracting highly regarded Exposure to the mining industry in a global capacity is advantageous
