Country Road Group (CRG) is embarking on transformation to position itself for growth, leveraging our scale, capabilities and culture as a House of Brands.
Reporting into the Chief Financial Officer, the newly created Head of Strategy & Transformation is responsible for leading the development and execution of Country Road Group's medium and long-term strategy, ensuring alignment with the overall vision.
Working closely with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), the Head of Strategy & Transformation will collaborate across the business to drive strategic initiatives that enhance organisational performance, foster innovation, and deliver sustainable growth.
This role is responsible for leading, inspiring and cultivating a high performing team that attracts and retains top talent.
Key Accountabilities Strategic Planning & Development Leverage market insights, competitive landscape, financial benchmarks, and internal capabilities to identify and scope growth opportunities.
Collaborate with ELT and senior leaders to develop the Group Strategy/ Annual Integrated Business Plan and effectively communicate the strategy to the broader business.
Oversee the transformation program and manage the day-to-day operations of key projects that support the strategy.
Drive progress through effective governance, managing risks and challenges, and developing mitigation plans as required.
Monitor and report on the progress of strategic initiatives and milestones using effective scorecards to track performance and outcomes.
Embrace uncertainty and change while facilitating and enabling strategic change with clarity, empathy and optimism.
Create & foster an inclusive environment where all team members can thrive and feel included, respected and safe.
Set clear expectations of behaviour and hold self and others accountable.
Key Capabilities Extensive experience in a similar role, preferably within a retail environment.
Strong project management experience, overseeing transformation programs, and ensuring successful delivery of key initiatives.
Strong commercial acumen and deep knowledge of the retail industry.
Ability to think strategically and creatively to develop innovative solutions and drive organisational change.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence effectively across functions and levels.
