Description Position at EssenceMediaCom Purpose of Position To lead world class, evidence based strategies that deliver real business outcomes for the allocated client patch es ( + new business pitches) .
The role aims to be both co nsultative, offering higher end, 'up-stream' strategic thinking to clients, as well as having the ability to land strategic thinking firmly in media and communications.
To create the measurement frameworks for business , marketing and media KPIs .
To l ead, manage and nuture a small team of high performing strategists.
Drive understanding, adoption and implementation of EM proprietary tools in the development of strategy across the agency .
Facilitate training and development that meet the needs (today and future) of the strategy community at Essence Mediacom .
Collaborate across functions and specialisms to create a more integrated and end to end strategy and planning product - understanding how a strategy impacts planning is critical in this role.
Elevate reputation of Essence Mediacom's strategic offering through industry-related thought leadership panels, making best-in-class strategy the norm and showcasing our work through awards programmes .

Responsibilities Weekly WIPs with team + all directs individually Action plan setting & tracking Training & skillset development Personnel growth plan development Ongoing guidance on all client deliverables Resource planning at national level Retention planning Hiring Product O ngoing strategic dev and QC- ing on major client briefs in your patch .
Development of the national ' strategy product plan' (in conjunction with CSO) Integration of Planning and Strategy products Ongoing product innovation and new product development Ongoing product innovation for the new business pitching Client Direct relationship ownership with the Media Heads / CMOs of the top-5 clients Though t leadership seminars / presentations to senior client stakeholders Commercial Collaboration with MD and CPs in tracking / delivering their numbers as per the QRF Collaborate with ExCo in landing all new business pitches Culture Work with the CSO to be be the glue between Strategy and planning communities, bringing them together both as experts, as well as colleagues More about you Direct / hands-on understanding and expertise of the agency's 4A process Ability to seamless ly combine thought leadership with hard practitioner's perspective Ability to elevate all strategic products in collaboration with the global network Ability to translate strategy into channel planning.
