About the role:
The Head of Strategy plays a critical role in shaping the future direction of Engineers Australia. Steering the company through market trends, competitive landscapes, including identifying opportunities and areas for innovation. 
As our Head of Strategy, you will: 
Design, facilitate, and deliver Engineers Australia's strategic planning process at both Board and Executive levels. Lead the development and implementation of organizational strategy, including defining key performance indicators. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute strategic projects and ensure alignment with strategic objectives. Develop and communicate the organization's overall strategic vision and long-term objectives in alignment with business goals. Lead strategic engagement across diverse business units, focusing on strategic reviews, new growth, and value creation opportunities. Provide strategic insights and recommendations to the Executive and Board regarding strategy and organizational performance. Stay updated on industry developments, market trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging opportunities. Partner with the Business Transformation team to develop annual business plans and organizational performance reports. Monitor the effectiveness of the implemented strategy. To succeed in this role, you should:
Have substantial experience in developing organizational strategies and business plans that align with the organization's purpose and vision.Demonstrate leadership with a focus on the long-term strategic impact of decisions.Possess deep understanding of key business drivers, market trends, competitive landscapes, and their impact on the business, using this information to drive informed decision making and innovation.Be committed to continuous learning and professional development to stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies relevant to strategic planning and execution.Exhibit strong analytical skills and commercial acumen, capable of converting complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to manage complex organizational dynamics and influence stakeholders at all levels.Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.Proven experience in team leadership.Advanced expertise in strategy development, strategic planning, and workshop facilitation.Demonstrated strategic thinking and thought leadership skills.Proficiency in documenting strategies, strategic concepts, and plans, including using PowerPoint and Word effectively.Please refer to the supporting documents to find the Success Profile or the full job description.
