About the opportunity
The Strategic Pricing and Partnerships is responsible for shaping the future pricing architecture, driving the management of pricing governance and compliance, managing the commercial sustainability of the Freight Products Portfolio enabling market leadership for Australia Post's core domestic logistics products and managing Freight Platform partnerships to extend the reach of Australia Post Freight Products and Services
What you'll deliver with us
This role will play critical role in transforming strategically critical Freight Products business and will be part of the Freight Product leadership team and will work with all Australia Post business units, but particularly closely with our Network Operations, Finance, Technology, Digital, Legal, Sales, Corporate Strategy and Commercial Governance teams to ensure product economics, commercial terms and conditions, platform partnerships, future product design, operation, pricing, feature development and customer experience are effectively managed and improved over time and in a way that aligns with our Enterprise Strategy and Product Strategy for this product portfolio.
This role has the accountability on uplifting the commercial outcomes of the Freight Products Portfolio and supporting the product leads to deliver on their respective P&L objectives and for partnering with the product leads, product strategy team, commercial governance, technology and network teams to uplift the sustainability of the Freight Products portfolio and cement its market leadership.
You'll also
Own the development and embedding of the new pricing architecture enabled by world class pricing ecosystem (Product economics, Network Economics, Activity Based Costing) which will enable Australia Post to drive targeted price led interventions
Own the commercial strategy, design, policies, framework for all Freight Products (Pricing, Yield management, Revenue assurance, Product economics)
Own the end-to-end P&L of Freight Products in conjunction with the Product P&L owners and
Drive the transformation and optimisation of the commercial framework of the Freight Products
Own the platform and system strategy for commercial architecture in unison with the product groups & CIO team
About you
You will be a leader with proven experience leading successful business units through change and an ability to handle volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity as we transform and modernise the business.
You'll also need
Extensive experience leading teams at a senior level within a large and complex organisation and fostering Agile methodology.
A strong ability to build and lead a centralised strategic & commercial pricing function.
Have a highly developed ability to negotiate and influence at a senior level from a commercial and governance perspective.
