Strategy and improvement Management systems Risk and assurance Reporting Change management As our Head of SSEA Improvement, you will proactively lead a team to identify, scope and implement improvement opportunities such as process simplification and integration. Whilst this is for Safety, Security and Environment processes, there is scope for related processes as part of finding a better way.
A fundamental part of your charter is the provision of SSEA shared services including integrated systems and data and insights teams.
You will play a crucial leadership role in guiding a diverse team to design and implement pragmatic strategies that enhance and assure Airservices' safety performance. Fostering a generative safety culture, where collaboration and engagement are prioritized is a major driver for you.
Your aptitude and empathy for leading people including a team of subject matter experts, project managers and change managers while providing a sense of purpose and developing them to be the best they can be is vital and we value your current success and future focussed vision.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred. Extensive experience in safety management, risk assessment, or related fields. Proven track record of leading and implementing organizational change initiatives. Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. Leadership experience in driving safety culture transformation. Familiarity with aviation industry regulations and standards (preferred). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and presentation skills. Results-oriented and deadline-driven. Exceptional verbal communication and ability to share the story – resilience and passion for safety are strengths. Exemplary advocacy, influencing and persuasion skills. Security Clearance: To be eligible to apply, you must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident as an Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance is required for this role.
