We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to lead a large team of teachers and teacher aides who support students with verified disabilities and those with learning support needs.

The school is seeking a dynamic and strategicperson who can show evidence of the advocacy of students with diverse needs and the logistical skills to coordinate a large and complex department.

This role is offered on a full-time temporary basis, until the end of Term 3, 2025 unlessotherwise determined.

About Kenmore State High School Kenmore State High School is a highly regarded school in the western suburbs of Brisbane. Founded in 1972, the school has grown to an enrolment of 2010 in 2024. Our Teaching and Learning Support (TALS) Unit supports and works with staff to support and intervene with 350 students with disabilities across the school.
About the Role As the Head of Special Education Services you will have responsibility for leading as per the attached role description and ensuring the delivery of the Inclusion policy across the school.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Manage and coordinate the delivery of high-quality advice and support provided by the Special Education Program and/or Early Childhood Development Program.Lead and manage the Special Education Program and/or Early Childhood Development Program to provide advice to classroom teachers for students with disability as needed.Provide high quality advice to the school leadership team, classroom teachers and other school staff to develop, plan and implement effective reasonable adjustments for students with disability.Please refer to the attached role description for any mandatory requirements for this position.
