About the Role As the Head of Special Education Services, you will: Focus on educational leadership, participating in delivering the vision of State Schools Division.Develop the quality of teaching and learning.Nurture positive relationships between students, teachers, the community and stakeholders. The Head of Special Education Services is accountable to and under the direction of the principal or delegate. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Manage and coordinate the delivery of high-quality advice and support provided by the Multi-Tiered System of Student Support.Lead and manage the Inclusive Education to provide advice to classroom teachers for all students.Provide high quality advice to the school leadership team, classroom teachers and other school staff to develop, plan and implement effective reasonable adjustments for students with disability.Coordinate and provide intensive targeted teaching for students requiring intervention.Provide, support and/or coordinate case management for students who require extensive or substantial adjustments.
