Coaching & Instruction (Sport & Recreation)Position Description:The Melbourne Sports Institute is seeking an experienced and specialised Head of Soccer Coach to join the successful sports program of an Inner South-East Grammar School. As the Head of Soccer, you will manage and develop teams across various year levels, fostering skill development, game sense, and strategic play for competition matches.Responsibilities:Oversee and coach soccer teams for students in Year 7 A, Inter A, and 1st Boys and Girls.Attend all training sessions and matches throughout the school year during Terms 1, 2, 3, and 4.Develop and implement training plans, match strategies, and player development programs.Work closely with school staff, students, and sports department heads.Scheduled Hours:Girls: Terms 1 and 4Boys: Terms 2 and 3Match Days:Year 7: Tuesdays, 12:45pm - 3:30/4:45pmYear 8/9: Thursdays, 12:45pm - 3:30/4:45pmYear 10-12: Wednesdays, 12:45pm – 3.30/4.45pmTraining: Mondays, 7:00am - 8:30amSelection Criteria:Demonstrated coaching experience and Soccer accreditation (minimum Football Australia/AFC C Diploma).Elite level playing and/or coaching experience.Ability to work with high responsibility and organisation, showing initiative and independence.Strong communication skills for engaging with students, staff, and heads of sport.In-depth knowledge of Soccer, player development, and match strategy.Required Qualifications:Working with Children Check (Employee Card)Minimum Football Australia/AFC C DiplomaLevel 2 First Aid (or willingness to obtain)This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated soccer coach to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic school sports environment.
