Position OverviewThis is a newly created position following a restructure of our Specialist Learning Centre. The Head of SLC (High School) will be instrumental in shaping and bringing to life a new vision for inclusivity and diverse learning needs across the High School. The Head of SLC (High School) is an instructional leader who guides and models inclusive practices across the High School within a K-12 educational framework.
This is a full time, permanent position available from the start of 2025. Reporting to the Deputy Principal, the Head of SLC (High School) will lead all things relating to the SLC. This includes:
Creating a shared understanding of inclusivity and a collective agreement on school-wide approaches to supporting all students with diverse needs.Reviewing and leading the service delivery model based on contemporary research and evidence-based practices.Building the capacity of teachers to understand diverse learning needs and differentiation and meet the needs of students.Ongoing management of the SLC including working with the High School SLC teachers to manage day-to-day issues, collection and organisation of information related to SLC students and necessary reporting, including NCCD, and disability provisions/adjustments.Face-to-face teaching, including team teaching, small group and 1:1.Collaboratively planning with students, parents and external professionals as required.The successful applicant will be a suitably qualified High School teacher with both tertiary qualifications in teaching and in aspects of specialised/additional needs, particularly with students who are generally high functioning. Prior experience teaching students with diverse needs and leading a team is essential.

We are now welcoming applications for a Head of Teaching & Learning K-12 to join our team. This is a newly created leadership position responsible for the strategic oversight and enhancement of teaching and learning practices from Kindergarten to Year 12. We see this role as an exciting next step in our evolution where they will be pivotal in ensuring the academic excellence and continuous improvement of educational outcomes through innovative strategies, data-driven decision-making, and professional development.
This is a full time, permanent position to commence in 2025. This position will be a part of our Senior Executive team (known as SAT – Strategic Advisory Team) and is a member of the Primary and High School Leadership teams.
The Head of Teaching & Learning K-12 is responsible for oversight of all aspects of Teaching & Learning across Primary and High School and will oversee the Specialist Learning Centre, Gifted & Talented Programs, Innovation, Digital Learning Technologies, and Libraries.

K-12 Teaching and LearningLeadership in Innovation and TechnologyAssessment and Data AnalysisTeacher Recruitment and Professional Development.The Head of Teaching & Learning K-12 is a member of the School's teaching community and as such, will participate in the regular life of the School. They will undertake other duties of a teacher, such as those in relation to pastoral care, supervision of students, extra-curricular activities etc., as requested by the Principal. The Head of Teaching & Learning K-12 will undertake a teaching load of one class as part of their role.

The Director of Students 7-12 is a key role for our High School focused on providing leadership in relation to our Wellbeing and Student Management Programs. They are responsible for overseeing the pastoral care of all students, student leadership and management of all aspects of wellbeing in the High School, in conjunction with the Head of High School.
This is a full time, permanent position which sits on the School's Wellbeing Leadership Team and High School Executive, as well as overseeing our Heads of House, and Year 7 and Year 12 Coordinators. The Director of Students 7-12 reports to the Head of High School, with a dotted line to the Deputy Principal.
The Director of Students 7-12 will work collaboratively with the Head of High School and the Deputy Principal regarding specific directions in wellbeing and student management, in line with the overall vision for wellbeing at the School. They will contribute to data-informed decision making for continuous improvement in the School's wellbeing and student management outcomes.
The Director of Students 7-12 provides key administrative leadership in areas affecting the wellbeing and student management program of the School. They are responsible for student wellbeing, management procedures, welfare responses, attendance, and compliance with relevant school policies.
The successful applicant will have formal qualifications in education, preferably with further study and/or professional development relating to adolescent mental health, student wellbeing or other related disciplines, and proven experience in a leadership role.
They will be an effective communicator, with highly refined leadership, organisational, and communication skills, along with knowledge of and experience in student wellbeing. They will model a personal commitment to lifelong learning and will place the care of each student as the highest priority, providing a safe and supportive learning environment for all students – one that meets the needs of each individual.

This is a unique leadership opportunity to make a real difference to how Jewish Studies is taught at Emanuel. This role will make a real contribution to developing and fostering each student's pride in their heritage, relationship to Jewish text, Jewish identity and connection with Israel.
This is a full time, temporary position until the end of the 2025 school year, with the possibility of extension. Start date is flexible. This will include a small teaching load of 1-2 classes.
Reporting to and in collaboration with the Director of Jewish Life, the Jewish Studies Curriculum Developer & Teacher will:
