With over 190+ staff and 25+ different countries represented in our business, we've cultivated a respectful and positive workplace where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered.The Missing Link is looking for an experienced Head of Security Operations to join our team.As Head of SOC, you will be responsible for leading and managing a global team of over 35 Security Analysts, GSOC Engineers, and Service Delivery professionals. The Head of Security Operations oversees the security operations and services provided to a diverse range of clients.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage a global team of 35+ Security Analysts, Engineers & Service Delivery resources across Australia and the United Kingdom, ensuring 24 x 7 operational coverage in a follow-the-sun model.Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC).Provide Leadership and Management coaching and mentoring to Team Leaders within the respective teams alongside cross-functional partners and external training.Oversee the daily operations of the GSOC, ensuring the timely detection, response, and remediation of security incidents and business impacting operational incidents.Implement and maintain operational procedures, ensuring adherence to client and industry standards effectively applying ITILv4 processes and principles.Ensure the effective use of security technologies, including SIEM, UEBA, EDR, Vulnerability Management, Cyber Threat Intelligence, SOAR, NGFW, SASE, PAM, and Application Control.Lead the incident response process, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to mitigate and resolve security incidents.Ensure compliance across the Group with relevant regulatory requirements (GDPR/OAIC NDBS), industry standards (ACSC E8, DISP, ISO27K), and internal policies.Act as the strategic advisor as well as the primary escalation point of contact for key customers, ensuring high levels of trust, integrity and customer satisfaction.Design & Deliver GSOC Pre-Sales collateral and assets for the presentation to prospective clients and as part of RFI/RFP Submissions.Qualifications:Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a Security Operations Centre or similar environment.Extensive knowledge of security technologies and frameworks, including SIEM, UEBA, EDR, Vulnerability Management, Cyber Threat Intelligence, SOAR, NGFW, SASE, PAM, and Application Control.Strong understanding of cyber security threats, attack vectors, and mitigation strategies.Demonstrated experience in incident response and management, including developing and executing incident response plans.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers, stakeholders, and team members.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset.Experience in managing security operations for diverse sectors, including Federal Government, Financial Services, Global Retail, and Healthcare.Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, GIAC, or equivalent.Experience with regulatory compliance frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).Knowledge of cloud security and emerging technologies.MBA or other advanced degrees in Cyber Security or related fields.
