About the role As the first Head of Security at Flex, you will lead the charge in establishing and managing the company's information security strategy. This critical role involves protecting our information assets, managing security operations, and ensuring we stay ahead of emerging threats. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of information security management and be adept at translating strategic goals into effective security measures.
What you'll do Craft and oversee a comprehensive information security strategy that aligns with industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements. Lead the development and maintenance of security operations, ensuring robust protection against threats and swift response to incidents. Partner with Product and Engineering teams to design and implement solutions addressing risks, threats, and vulnerabilities. Strengthen incident management processes to ensure rapid and effective response to security incidents. Implement and enforce information security policies, standards, and procedures, and deliver continuous training and awareness programs for all employees, contractors, and partners. Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, industry groups, and third-party partners. Develop and maintain goals and KPIs to measure the performance and effectiveness of information security programs. Work closely with other departments (e.g., IT, legal, compliance) to ensure a cohesive approach to security that supports both growth and security goals. Proven experience in leading security management within high-growth environments. Demonstrated ability to manage security operations, including incident response, threat management, and vulnerability assessment. Strong collaboration with Product, Compliance, and Engineering teams to establish and implement technical security solutions. Expertise in tracking global cybersecurity regulations and ensuring compliance while protecting user privacy. Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent. Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills. Proven experience in governance, risk management, and compliance (GRC). Achieved security certifications, including CISSP, CISM, or equivalent. Proficiency in leading teams that are accountable for securing cloud infrastructure environments, securing Fintech-related consumer experience workflows, establishing security operations and controls, defining and executing security programs for the business, and performing and leading information security audits and security incident response. Strong knowledge of information security frameworks, standards and best practices, such as NIST, SOC2, GDPR, ISO 27001, and fedRAMP. The national pay range for this role is $265,000-$285000 in base salary. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience aligned with Flex's internal leveling guidelines and benchmarks.
