Commencing Term 1, 2025 MidCoast Christian College is a growing, Christ-centred school of over 800 students, situated in the Greater Taree region on the beautiful mid-north coast of NSW. The College seeks a faithful, dynamic and relational Christian to lead a committed and capable Secondary Team. In 2025, the Secondary School will have four-streams in each of Years 7-10. Stage 6 is also expanding significantly and has a dedicated Senior Study Space. The Head of Secondary is well supported by an Assistant Head, Executive Assistant and Director of Curriculum. In addition, the Head of Secondary supervises Heads of Department who manage their curriculum areas and Year Advisors who pastorally support each grade.

Leadership Requirements The leadership requirements of the Head of Secondary (HoS) are grounded in the Leadership Framework of Christian Schools Australia (CSA). The HoS will therefore provide:

· Purposeful and strategic leadership through leading improvement, innovation and change;

· Relational and community leadership through engaging and working with the community;

· Spiritual and moral leadership through developing self and others; and

· Instructional and operational leadership though leading, teaching, learning and the management of the Secondary School.

Essential Selection Criteria The successful candidate will:

· be a practising Christian, active in a church and subscribe to the Statement of Faith;

· be passionate about Christian education;

· have strong administrative, communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
