About the roleBased at our Melbourne, Adelaide, Bendigo or Sydney Head Office location, this full time, permanent Head of Risk - Business & Agribusiness Role reports to the General Manager Risk and Compliance with key responsibilities relating to the execution of strategy, whereby you will translate strategic business objectives into risk priorities for individual business units and for the wider Business & Agribusiness division.You will work closely with Business & Agribusiness leadership team to deliver business insight by understanding and articulating how prudent risk management can maximise value via better risk-based decision making.Furthermore, you will provide the Business & Agribusiness leadership team with empirical risk data, critical analysis and written advice to assist in the optimisation of customer and shareholder outcomes (including via improved efficiency / experience, financial results, portfolio construction, and capital usage).You will be a key member of various governance committees at a Divisional and Group level. You and your team will be key advisers to large scale transformation activities occurring across the Bank and the Division.You will be responsible for enabling efficient and effective first line governance of material risks within Business & Agribusiness Division, the Head of Risk will have accountability for execution and delivery of in-business programs of work to institutionalise divisional capability for better risk management.About youTo be successful in this role you will have :Extensive knowledge of contemporary risk management approaches, models and associated processes as they relate to banking products and services.Deep understanding and experience with techniques for risk identification, evaluation, management and monitoring.Good understanding of capital management, allocation concepts and methodology. Ability to prioritise and execute tasks effectively in a high-pressure environment including the ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills of a standard commensurate with Board and regulator engagement.10 + years banking experience, preferably in relevant line 1 risk and relationship roles in business banking / corporate banking segmentsPeople leadership of professional staff and technical teamsDemonstrated experience in developing sound working relationships with key stakeholders and partnersProven ability to design and lead risk management processes that integrate customer experience and prudent risk managementStrong influencing skills, with a demonstrated ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of stakeholders.How to applyApplications close :Tuesday 14th February, 2023#J-18808-Ljbffr
