Join the teamAs the Head of Risk and Compliance you will be a strategic, collaborative and versatile leader who will partner with the GM Finance to lead the delivery of an uplift in operational risk capability, ensuring a consistent risk management framework across Kmart Group.
As outstanding manager of internal and external stakeholders, you will develop deep relationships with business leaders, regulators and the wider Wesfarmers group.
With a strong results and delivery focus utilising a collaborative as well as hands-on approach, you will bring the right balance of intellectual horsepower, emotional intelligence, resourcefulness and leadership to engage and deliver outcomes through others.
What you'll be doingOversee and ensure the ongoing development of a contemporary framework of enterprise risk and assurance guidelines.
Ensure appropriate and relevant advice is provided to Senior Leadership and the Divisional Audit and Risk Committee on management of regulatory changes, industry trends and potential exposures through robust reporting and measurement of risk appetite.Lead the Risk and Compliance function to ensure that Kmart Group has effective risk management principles, tools and systems in place.
This includes oversight of the identification, assessment and monitoring remedial outcomes of all risks at an enterprise level.Develop deep relationships with Kmart Group business leaders, functional stakeholders, regulators and broader risk and assurance stakeholder community.Coordinate the agenda and preparation of papers for the Kmart Group Audit and Risk Committee meeting, as well as preparing and presenting risk and compliance papers to the Committee.Provide direction and strategic guidance to the Kmart Group Leadership team in the design of strategies that identify and mitigate risks both present and emerging.Establish a strong reputation for risk thought leadership and performance across the organization.To be successful in this role you'll have:A strong in-depth knowledge of regulatory affairs, risk and compliance in a large-sized organisation.Experience working in the retail industry highly desired.Minimum of 5+ years experience leading a team in a fast-paced, dynamic, change environment.Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced or intricately regulated environment, where meeting strict deadlines is paramount.A Relevant qualification in Compliance, Risk Management or a related field (commerce, law, auditing etc).Demonstrated expertise in crafting and implementing training programs and frameworks.Strong customer-centric communication skills and a keen ability to advocate for compliance priorities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
