Head of Retrofit Role Overview The Head of Retrofit will act as a senior leader and project coordinator, driving compliance, quality, and efficiency across retrofit projects. This pivotal role requires close collaboration with operations managers and department heads to ensure every phase—from assessment to implementation—meets industry standards (PAS 2030, PAS 2035, or MCS). The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, extensive construction knowledge, and a commitment to teamwork to ensure successful, high-quality project delivery.
Key Responsibilities Leadership and Team ManagementLead and manage the Retrofit department, driving high performance, compliance, and quality.Conduct regular performance reviews, training, and mentorship to support team development.Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the retrofit team.Strategic Oversight of Retrofit ProjectsProvide strategic direction for retrofit initiatives to align with energy efficiency and sustainability goals.Collaborate with operations managers and department heads in Insulation, Heating, and Renewables to ensure all measures comply with PAS 2030 and PAS 2035.Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.Compliance and Quality AssuranceLead regular audits to ensure strict compliance with PAS 2030, PAS 2035, MCS, and other regulatory standards.Oversee data collection and documentation, ensuring accuracy and alignment with compliance requirements.Proactively address compliance and quality issues, implementing corrective measures when necessary.Data Management and ReportingSupervise data collection and reporting from Retrofit Assessors, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.Collaborate with the Submissions Manager to ensure documentation meets compliance standards.Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs), including timelines, compliance, and customer satisfaction, to senior management.Collaboration and CommunicationWork closely with the Customer Service Manager to ensure customers receive timely updates on project progress.Facilitate clear communication between Retrofit Assessors, Coordinators, and Advisors to address customer concerns promptly.Build strong relationships with operations managers and construction teams to support seamless project delivery.Continuous Improvement and Problem-SolvingIdentify opportunities to enhance retrofit processes, ensuring efficiency and customer satisfaction.Drive innovation by exploring new technologies, processes, and tools to improve retrofit delivery.Address challenges in project delivery through collaboration with Retrofit Assessors and Coordinators.Key Tasks Team Leadership: Manage Retrofit Coordinators and Assessors to ensure high-quality project delivery and regulatory compliance.Compliance Oversight: Lead internal audits and ensure adherence to PAS 2030, PAS 2035, and MCS standards.Data Collection and Reporting: Oversee the accurate collection, management, and submission of compliance data and documentation.Collaboration: Foster effective communication between all teams involved in retrofit projects, including Advisors, Assessors, Coordinators, and managers.Customer Engagement: Work with the Customer Service Manager to provide customers with accurate, timely project updates.Continuous Improvement: Implement strategies to enhance processes, resolve challenges, and drive innovation in project delivery.Collaboration Responsibilities Retrofit Assessor Team Leader: Ensure assessments and data collection meet quality standards.Retrofit Coordinators: Oversee project scheduling and coordination to deliver timely, compliant results.Operations Director & Department Heads: Ensure installed measures meet performance and compliance standards.Customer Service Manager: Support Retrofit Advisors in delivering clear and accurate customer communication.Ardour Associates values diversity and promotes equality.
