AHURI is seeking an experienced manager to undertake the role of Head of Research Program. This position reports directly to the Managing Director and regularly liaises with Research Centre Directors and Research Leads at each of our member universities as well as members of the AHURI Board.The Team:

The Research Program team provides a range of research services including oversight, management and administration of the National Housing Research Program, support of AHURI's professional services and support of AHURI's marketing, communication and events.Reports to:

You are a motivated, detailed oriented team player with a commitment to providing excellent work. You are able to manage multiple stakeholders both internally and externally and communicate effectively to ensure the required outcomes and deadlines are met. You have an excellent understanding and experience of research processes from grant approval to peer review and publishing.Duties and responsibilities:The primary responsibilities of the position, in contributing to the overall leadership of AHURI, are:Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Research Program groupProvide corporate leadership for the company and strategic advice to the Managing Director on all company matters, including being an active member of the AHURI Executive team and representing AHURI to a range of high-level external stakeholdersOversee the quality, relevance and cost effectiveness of the National Housing Research Program, the Institute's premier research programAct as the delegate for the Managing Director as and when requiredAdvanced degree (MA or PhD level) or equivalent experience.Good understanding of research quality, methods and approaches including skills in research assessment and citation conventions.Excellent writing skills with attention to detail and ability to write quickly, clearly and concisely for a range of audiences.Ability to lead, manage and develop employees by undertaking regular performance reviews and appraisals and ensure compliance with all HR/IR requirements.Please refer the Job Description for the full list of duties and responsibilities.Flexible working arrangementsSalary PackagingIf you have any questions regarding the role or recruitment process, please contact:Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?Report this job advert
